Guitarist Brian Golden’s debut solo album, originally recorded and released in 2005, finds the (at the time) young songwriter exploring the recording studio and stretching out as blues meets reggae (“Here I Am”) and that Stax sound (“So Long, So Far”); jazz (“Sisters of the Instrument”) and pop (“Someday”). Other standouts include “1420 Blues” and the synth/guitar duet of “Truth.”
